Shoes at an Italian wedding

by Rebecca Bricker on September 24, 2012

I was taking a Sunday afternoon stroll around the medieval Tuscan town of Sansepolcro when I noticed a crowd outside a small church. Rice flew through the air and there were cheers and applause when the newlywed couple appeared.

But what really got my attention were the shoes. It’s Italy, after all…

The flower girl wore sensible flats, for a long day on her feet.

But her destiny is this…

There was one standout in the crowd, my FAVORITE of all…

>>>The Italian nonna who keeps her seams straight and her heels reinforced. 😉 >>>

How did you discretely manage to take photos of feet? A feat in itself!

Your photos say it all! The only time in my life where I wore heels was at my French wedding!

Loved the shoes! At this stage in the game, I think the flower
girl has the right idea!
